A well-born, travel-clothed 16th century gentleman in his early twenties. He's good-looking, albeit in a girlish way that takes several years off his estimated age. This is aided by his short-ish height.

After the shipwreck in which his twin sister was apparently drowned, Sebastian found himself saved by a fisherman. He is now in the middle of his three months recovering in Antonio's care, under the name of Roderigo.

A note on the resemblance between Roderigo (Sebastian) and Cesario (Viola): obviously stage conventions don't totally make real-world sense, but whatever the cause, it is canon that people in very close contact with both Viola and Sebastian cannot tell them apart while she is disguised. This includes Sebastian's eventual wife.
